I've become an unreliable blogger. It's been a month since my last post. And...nothing new really. But more donations going out the door. This is a good thing!
Here's what I've done:
two car loads to the Goodwill
recycled a box of old school papers
cleared out two bags of my clothes that I don't like (will go to Goodwill soon)
reorganized the pantry and added a few kitchen things to the donation bag

What a great idea from the FlyLady!
I often do what I'd refer to as the "recycle roundup". It's where I go from room to room picking up receipts, scraps of paper, empty Coke cans, etc,... anything that can go in the recycle bin. It's amazing how 2 minutes of my time makes a world of difference in keeping our house clutter free!

I have struggled with hoarding for many years. I certainly didn't hoard to the level that I have read that some people hoard, but I would typically take a year each time I moved house to go through the endless bags off stuff that I had moved from the previous house, and it has made life really difficult. My mother's hoarding has gotten out of control in the last few years, and at this point, I am not sure what to do. It's so encouraging to read your post and see that you've been able to get rid of all that stuff. It's amazing! I'm not sure what to do for my mother, but I am trying. If you have a relative who hoards, I think Dr. Zasio's new book, The Hoarder in You, could be a helpful read. I am enjoying it though my clutterbug relatives are now gone. I am still dealing with their stuff and her advice is helpful today.
