So, here are some of the tools and devices I've tried:
Rubbermaid Bins
IKEA organizing items
Banker's Boxes
Clear Totes
Feng Shui books
Clutter control books
Time management books and guides
Nothing has worked. I wonder why?
Here are some more 'tools' I have tried:
Guilt
Shame
Confession
Self-hatred
Responsibility
Those haven't helped much either.

Ok, so the first 4 items on your list are not things to help 'control' clutter, they are things that 'corral' the clutter. The first thing you need to do is figure out WHY you hoard! Then you need to figure out what can be released. I don't know how to do the cool Amazon links like you have but I would like to recommend a book if you haven't already read it... Organizing From The Inside Out by Julie Morgenstern...When I read this book it was clear that this was different from any other clutter book I had read. It talks about figuring out what is working in your house and what is not. It talks about how to identify clutter and decide what to keep and what to release. The biggest thing about this book is that you don't even THINK about any containers of any type until you are DONE with the declutter process. Most other clutter books/articles talk about WHERE you can put your clutter, not really about getting to the bottom of the cause and getting it thinned out first. Remember what Flylady says "you can't organize clutter". So forget about any boxes, bins, etc for now. About the second part of your list, I'm going to have to give it more thought before I reply :)
