Well, avalanche might be a better word for the amount of paper I need to deal with. Here's a shot of my 'to do, bills to pay, mail to tend to' pile:
And here are my bins of 'to be filed' paperwork. They're items as new as 2006 and as old as 1999 in there...

Paperwork can be so overwhelming because you need to make a decision on each piece...it's exhausting! just take a little at a time and remember to take breaks and give yourself lots of rewards, you are doing awesome!
CB is right - they're each so small, so you have to do a lot of work to get through a pile.
